Blessings of Comfort

Our Blessings of Comfort program was started to thank God for providing for us in our times of need. We recognized that there are many times when people and families are in desperate need of home type items. We work through charitable organizations to provide furnishings that we may have available to meet some of these needs. For instance ...recently there was a call from a local community mental health agency that had a client that was in desperate need of a sofa for their new apartment. These people are trying to make a contribution to society, yet starting with nothing. We happened to have a sofa and a few other small items that we gave to them. In this instance, the agency picked up and delivered the items to the person, in others, we will deliver to them. Some of the items are items that people have donated to us. Unwanted furniture for instance. What we then do is evaluate the item for usability. Some are useable as is, others need work. If we get a call for an item we have that is useable, we provide that item at no charge. As I mentioned, some items are in need of work. As a small business, we cannot pour forth lots of funds into completely refurbishing an item to provide to someone. What we do is have sales from time to time of items we have in our showroom. Proceeds from that sale help to cover some of the costs of rejuvenating a donated item for future giving the next time we get a call..
If you would like to help, we will take donations of unwanted furniture, wooden or upholstered. These donations to us are NOT tax deductible, but will go to good use. Within a reasonable distance, we will even pick up your unwanted items at no charge.
